Brief Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Muscat
Arrive Muscat airport, meet & assist by ATT Representative and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay at Shangrila Barr Al Jissah (Al Bandar).
Day 02: Muscat City tour & Omani Dinner
Guide will at 0800hrs in the lobby to proceed on a half day city tour of Muscat city covering visits to the Royal Opera House & Grand Mosque (To enter Grand mosque dress code for Ladies should be fully covered with scarf and wear full sleeves shirt and Men are not allowed to wear shorts) , and Amouge Factory. Have lunch at local restaurant before returning to the hotel.
By 1730hrs, visit the city of Muttrah in the Old Muscat region. Visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum and take a walk in the Muttrah Souq browsing through various shops selling Silver & Bronze artifacts and traditional Omani handicrafts.
After the walk, transfer to Bait Al Bilad, for a traditional Omani dinner. Bait al Bilad is an authentic Omani village house dining experience. The menu features traditional Omani dishes not usually available outside a home; the setting is by the beach in one of the oldest original houses in Qantab Village. Diners are seated in traditional style on cushions on the ground although we can also of course accommodate Western dining preferences with tables and chairs. A Majlis for lounging with a Shisha after dinner is also always part of the set up. At Bait al Bilad we leave the everyday behind and venture into another world; with no glaring electric lights and the soft sounds of the Oudh and Tabla players for our entertainment. Drive back to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 03: Muscat- Bandar Khairan
Morning is free at leisure to explore the city of Muscat on your own. By 1530hrs transfer to Marina Bandar and board traditional Omani Dhow for a short cruise through the Muscat coastline with Tea & snacks, Disembark at Bandar Khairan.
The boat ride is made even more pleasurable with the accompaniment of some dolphins which swim alongside the boats. As a visitor, you’ll enjoy seeing the Rocky Mountains and the white-washed small houses that overlook the majestic sea.
In the evening, we have barbeque dinner with entertainments and overnight stay in Private Tents.
Day 04: Bandar Khairan- Nizwa- Al Hamra
For the morning, sports activities would be arranged such as snorkeling, angling, kayaking etc at the beach. After breakfast on the beach, transfer back to a local hotel by 0930hrs for wash and change and lunch before proceeding on round tour in 04WD vehicles (four people per vehicle). Today we drive ahead to the historical city of Nizwa- Oman’s cultural capital. You visit the powerful Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman and the traditional Souq. We then drive ahead to Al Hamra, to see one of the oldest villages of this region. The traditional mud houses dated back from 400 years. Next, check in to The View for a night stay.
Day 05: Al Hamra- Wadi Bani Awf- Nakhl- Muscat
0800 hrs: Start the day a little early and cross the Hajjar Mountains onward to Nakhl. Driving on the mountain is a very interesting section for thrill lovers. Photo stops at will gives one many occasions to take awesome pictures of the wild beauty of Oman. For first time travelers, a visit to these parts can be simply unforgettable. Oman’s unspoilt natural beauty unfolds in front of you in the form of peaks and rocks lined by wadis as far the eyes can see.
Bilad Sayt, a scenic little village, can be seen at the bottom of gorge on the summit of Sharfat Al Alamayn. You can enjoy Wadi Bani Awf, passing through the farm land, watching the roaming camels as you pass through the peaks of Hajjar range that rises to more than 1000 meters. Enjoy picnic lunch en route and arrive at Nakhl. Visit the Nakhl Fort, which was built in the pre-Islamic era. Emerging from huge palm groves and guarded by mountains, it is the best positioned for defense. Next we visit the Hot springs and then proceed to Muscat. Arrive Muscat and check-in to Shangri La Barr Al Jissah (Al Bandar). Relax in the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 06: Muscat
Day is free at leisure to sit back and enjoy the facilities of Shangri La Barr Al Jissah (Al Bandar).
Day 07: Muscat- Dubai- Desert drive with Dinner
After breakfast, drive back to Muscat airport to board flight to Dubai. Meet & assist on arrival to Dubai and then start your adventure to the desert.
The highlight of any visit to Dubai is undoubtedly this amazing tour. By evening, board your luxury 4X4 in Dubai and head out towards the desert.
At the entrance of the desert your driver deflates the wheels of the 4X4 and then the fun starts. Dune bashing has become known as a fun experience – you will feel the thrill of desert driving as your professional driver takes you up and down on golden dunes. A beautiful desert sunset stop is also included and then head out to a Luxury desert resort for an overnight stay.
You are greeted with a traditional cup of Arabic coffee and have the opportunity to try riding a camel before it is time to settle down for your barbecue dinner prepared on open fires in front of you. Later on in the evening a belly dancer will enchant you with her dances, a truly magical night.
Day 08: Dubai city tour & Dhow Cruise
Depart the resort at 1000hrs and start to discover this city of life Dubai!! First, visit the top level of Burj Khalifa- the tallest building in the World for some spectacular views of the Dubai horizon. We continue our tour through the cloth markets; walk through the bustling alleys of spice souk and allow the mystical aromas of numerous spices to tantalize your senses while the breath-taking amount of dazzling gold will dazzle your eyes. The jewelry on sale varies from the traditional to the latest designs at amazingly affordable prices. Lastly, we take a photo stop at one of the most famous icons in the city, Burj Al Arab Hotel. We then proceed to the renowned Atlantis Hotel.
By evening embark on a chance to see the modern skyline of Dubai from the Creek. Dhows have been the traditional ships of the UAE for many centuries and tonight you have the chance to board one of these vessels and enjoy a sumptuous buffet and unlimited soft drinks while you quietly cruise by the landmarks of this city. Transfer back to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 09: Dubai
Day is free for shopping and/ or sits back and enjoy the facilities of your hotel.
Day 10: Depart Dubai
After breakfast, checkout from hotel and transfer to Dubai airport.
