Brief Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVE MUSCAT
Meet & assist at the airport and transfer to Hotel Al Falaj (4*). Overnight at hotel
DAY 2: MUSCAT: MUSCAT CITY TOUR
After the Breakfast Proceed for Muscat sightseeing, first visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque one of the largest mosques in the Middle East, followed by a visit to the Royal Opera House. Next stop will be at picturesque Corniche and then to once walled “Old Muscat” district where you will visit the Muttrah Fort followed by visit to the Bait Al Zubair Museum (a private collection exhibiting the wealth of Oman’s history and thus imparting knowledge about the country’s rich culture and traditions to the visitors). This will be followed by a photo stop at the residence of his Majesty Haitham Bin Tariq, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. And back to Hotel . Overnight stay at Hotel Al Falaj (B/D)
Note: To enter Grand mosque dress code for Ladies should be fully covered with scarf and wear full sleeves shirt and Men are not allowed to wear short
DAY3: MUSCAT–SUR- RAS AL JINZ (280 kms):
After breakfast, We drive to Sur and then to Ras Al Jinz via the scenic and rugged coastal route. This tour offers breath taking glimpses of the blue waters of the Gulf of Oman offset by pristine white beaches. The road leads through scenic countryside and rugged mountains to the small fishing town of Quriyat. Our first stop today is at the limestone Sinkhole in Bimah and then continue to Fins beach.. Later we drive further to Wadi Shab, the most popular and stunning Wadi in Oman having a river run through it. After the we drive to Sur where we will visit Dhow building Yard, where traditional Dhow’s are made.Check in at Hotel Ras Al Jinz Center (4*). After dinner move to Ras Al Jinz Turtle Sanctury to admire the Giant Turtles coming to the shore from the sea to lay eggs and watch the little ones hatching the eggs and moving towards the sea Return to hotel for overnight stay (B/D)
DAY 4: RAS AL JINZ – SUR– WAHIBASANDS: (300 kms)
Morning before proceeding to Wahiba Sands. Board the 4WD at Al Wasil . Then we drive to Wadi Bani Khalid, an oasis spot in the middle of the barren and dry mountains. It is one of the most beautiful wadis in Oman with pools with clear deep blue water You may catch a glimpse of small hamlets that cling precariously to the rugged cliffs. Then we proceed to Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sands. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight. Enjoy a camel ride (optional) on the dunes. Enjoy the BBQ dinner and overnight stay at Arabian Oryx Camp (4*). (B/D)
DAY 5: WAHIBASANDS – AL HAMRA- JABAL SHAMS-NIZWA (500 kms):
After breakfast we start on our day long program. First do some exciting sand dune driving which offers excellent thrills and chills for all and will arrive at the home of a Bedouin Family. The group can meet the Bedouins and enjoy their hospitality We then drive to Jabrin Castle built in 17th century is one of the finest of its kind. Castle is famous for its magnificent plasterwork, the carved doors and the painted wooden beams of the ceilings make this castle amazingly different. We then proceed to Bahla one of the oldest towns of Oman and in the 12th century the capital of the tribe living in the region. Visit Bahla Fort by Photo stop, which fort as one of the UNESCO heritage sites. After enjoying the Picnic Lunch we proceed to Al Hamra en route Board the 4wd in Nizwa, one of the oldest villages in Oman with clay houses dating back up to 400 years. The group will be allowed to spend ample time visualize of the century old mud and stone houses. The group will also stop at Wadi Ghul, the farming village in the mountains before we reach Jabel Shams, the Great canyon of Oman. Enjoy the breath-taking view of the great Canyon Return back to Nizwa Overnight stay at Hotel Falaj Daris (4*) (B/L/D)
DAY 6: NIZWA –BIRKAT AL MOUZ – AS SIFAH (250 kms)
Breakfast at the Hotel, Morning you will visit the historic city of Nizwa, the cultural capital of Oman. Its main places of interest are the lively Souq and the powerful Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. Later the group will move further and will be shown the Falaj system, one of the oldest irrigation systems in Oman and the second UNESCO Heritage site you will see at Birkat Al Mauz. After that proceed to Sifah for overnight stay at Sifaway Boutique Hotel (4*)( B/D)
DAY 7- : AT SIFAWAY BOUTIQUE HOTEL – LEISURE
Spend with hotel and enjoying the hotel fasciitis. Overnight stay Sifaway Boutique Hotel ( B/D)
DAY 08 : DEPARTURE MUSCAT
Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer to Seeb International Airport for return/onward journey (B).
